I found this on the Enoweb website and I'm desperately trying to find
out if it is true: Brian Eno and actress Julie Christie dated in the
late 70s, Julie got pregnant by eno, and she had a miscarriage.
Supposedly, Eno's "Julie With" on Before and After Science was written
for their lost baby.

I do know that Julie and eno dated in the late 70s, but I have never
heard this story before. Does anyone have any info? Has anyone heard
this before?

No, I have never heard this before. I run EnoWeb, and I have *never* seen
those things you imagine you found on "the Enoweb website". You must have
confused it with some other site. Or been dreaming. For the record, a
simple search using EnoWeb's search function turns up the following useful
facts:

No matches were found containing "Julie Christie".
No matches were found containing "miscarriage".
The only site hit for the word pregnant is in the phrase "The pregnant
pause".

I have never heard that "supposedly" "Julie With" was written for a lost
baby -- what possible interpretation of the lyrics is that (believe me, I've
seen a few wild speculations in my time)? Perhaps you have confused it with
the song "The River" from "Wrong Way Up", which was written for a very live
baby (his daughter Irial).

If you go to the "discuss" part of Enoweb, you can find it on one of
the message boards. I've asked a few Julie christie fans, and they
claim to have heard the story as well.

I have done some more research, and a Julie Christie fan claims that
this was stated in "Julie Christie: The Biography" by Michael Feeney
Callan. Not that it matters, after all it was 25 years ago, but that it
is sad that they lost their baby. Apparently, Julie didn't have the
best of luck with pregnancies because the baby she was expecting with
Warren Beatty was miscarried as well.
