Haven't heard them, but they *should* be good judging by the
transcription equipment used (ATR/Aria) and apparent lack of
tinkering. If I was a fan of any of the current albums that have been
remastered, I would be happy to take a chance and buy them on spec.
Personally I'm waiting for the ambient series and My Life In..
[Somehow I doubt the track "Qu'ran" will be making a reappearance in
the current climate :-(]
I notice there's been a heck of a lot of Eno merchandise doing the
rounds on Ebay (including White Cube and Textures) and of course now
the enoshop outlet is pumping out goods. It seems with every passing
year, numerous new events bring ever more limited books, short run CDs
etc. His prediliction for collaborations, and slipping things out
discretely in Japan can only add to the confusion. Must be a nightmare
for a collector! :-) Well.. I'm considering buying the "I Dormienti"
book.. but before I drop £40 on it, anybody know how limited it is?
The other day I read a message in a chat forum which suggested that
Neroli has a hidden sonogram image, like this one by Aphex Twin
(http://www.visualizationsoftware.com/gram/example15.html)
Good huh! Of course I lost the link, and I'm not sure if there's any
truth to this. Maybe I misunderstood the message or dreamed it up :-)
Anyway, I think I'll grab some FFT scans of Neroli and put some links
in here - for curiosities sake. This recording is not only minimalist
in a musical sense, also sonically. In quite a big way. Surprised me
anyway...
